WATCH THE 250/450 MXGP OF TRENTINO: GAJSER & VIALLE TAKE COMMAND

The fifth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship saw some explosive action as Team HRC’s Tim Gajser and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle topped the podium at the MXGP of Trentino with perfect scores across both races.

Amazingly, it was 450 points leader Tim Gajser’s first 1-1 of the 2022. season, as he enjoyed the the roar of his fans who gathered in huge crowds! Maxime Renaux celebrated his comeback to the box with second overall, with Jorge Prado on the third step of the podium. After five rounds, Gajser now has 236 points to his name as he continues to lead the MXGP championship, while Prado is 33 points behind insecond and Renaux third at 184 points. Jeffrey Herlings is still on the sidelines with an injury and has not raced a single GP in 2022. For Herlings fans it is a bitter pill to swallow to know that he is now 236 points behind Tim Gajser—almost five full GPs behind in points.

KTM Factory rider Tom Vialle won the 250 Grand Prix of Trentino with a 1-1 score that gave Vialle point leaders red plate. It was Vialle’s 17th career Grand Prix victory. Vialle now leads the 250 championship by 14 points over Geerts, who is second ahead of Haarup. Kay De Wolf was second for the day, securing his second podium of 2022 ahead of Mikkel Haarup who continued to impress everyone with his third GP podium.
