WHIP-IT WEDNESDAY: TREY CANARD

Trey Canard is a favorite among fans. Last Saturday Trey looked as if he would have a good start to the 450 National series. After coming off the gate in second, he was able to fend off the advances of riders like Ryan Dungey and Cole Seely. Unfortunately, Canard slid out early on in the race, allowing a handful of riders to pass. He was able to bounce back to a seventh place finish and ended the day fifth overall (7-5). Canard has 11 rounds to make up the few points he lost, but can he keep pace with Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac and Ryan Dungey? Moreover, Canard’s contract with HRC Honda is up at the end of this year. It’s make it or break it time for Trey (although rumors have him going to Monster Energy Kawasaki). We’re pulling for the 41 machine, not only because he’s an established Champion, but more so because he’s a great ambassador for the sport.
