ARAI HELMETS INK DEAL WITH JUSTIN BARCIA

Press release: Arai Helmet, Inc. is proud to announce a two-year deal that will see Justin “Bam Bam” Barcia wear Arai helmets in both AMA Supercross and Outdoor racing.  Barcia, the 2011 and 2012 250SX East Coast champion, will wear Arai’s all-new VX-Pro4 model. “Everyone knows Arai builds some of the best helmets in the world,” said Barcia. “The protection, fit and comfort of my VX-Pro4 will be a huge asset when I take to the track this season.”

An intense competitor with a hard-charging style, Barcia’s pro career began in 2009, which saw him take home the AMA Rookie of the Year Award. After his back-to-back Supercross Lite titles, Barcia moved to the 450 class in 2013, winning two rounds and claiming that series’ Rookie of the Year award as well. Barcia recently announced he will ride for the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX team in 2015.

BLAKE BAGGETT JOINS YOSHIMURA FACTORY SUZUKI

Press release:Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing welcomed former AMA Pro 250 Motocross Champion Blake Baggett to the team today during the 2015 Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) Dealer Meeting at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Baggett will join Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart in the premier class for the 2015 AMA Pro Supercross and Motocross seasons, but his first race on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 will be Las Vegas’ Monster Energy Cup later this month. Baggett’s Yoshimura Suzuki teammate Stewart won the prestigious stand-alone Supercross race last year.

“I’m really excited to be a part of the Yoshimura Suzuki racing team for the 2015 Supercross and Motocross seasons,” Baggett said. “Testing on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 has been going great and I’m looking forward to racing the bike for the first time at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas.”

Baggett comes to Yoshimura Suzuki after finishing second overall in the 2014 AMA Pro 250 Motocross Championships, thanks to overall victories at the Thunder Valley, High Point and Budds Creek Nationals. Prior to that, Baggett celebrated a spectacular 2012 Motocross season, where he held the 250 class points lead for 11 consecutive rounds before winning the championship. Baggett also was a member of the 2012 Motocross of Nations team that finished third overall for Team USA in Belgium.

“Everyone at Yoshimura Suzuki is pleased to welcome Blake to the team,” said Yoshimura Suzuki Team Manager Mike Webb. “He has shown tremendous talent in the 250 class in both Motocross and Supercross. Press release: ODI is excited to announce the next step in our exciting brand history.  With more than 25 years of producing grips for the top athletes of the world, ODI will once again be expanding our athlete roster with the addition of the RCH Racing Suzuki team.  While ODI has been building an extensive product line which includes the expansion into handlebars, RCH Racing has been building a program which will allow them to contend for the 2015 Supercross Championship.  The addition of the 2014 Outdoor Motocross Champion, Ken Roczen shows they are serious about contending for the Supercross and Motocross titles over the next few years.

Davi brings a ton of talent and solid race results to the team. Although he was sidelined with injuries this year, Millsaps put together a string of wins to finish 2nd in the premier 450 class for the 2013 Supercross series.

“I’m really excited to become part of the 100% family,” said Millsaps. “They’re passionate about making amazing products and I look forward to partnering with them as I get a fresh start this season.” Millsaps will make his debut with the Monster Energy Kawasaki team at the Monster Energy Cup this month before setting his sights on being a title contender when the 2015 season starts in Anaheim.

100% is excited to announce a multi-year partnership with Dean Wilson for goggles and eyewear beginning with the 2015 supercross season. Wilson, a former AMA 250MX Champion, will be making the step up to the premier 450 class this year as the newest member of the Red Bull KTM team. The likeable rider hailing from Scotland had a successful career in the 250 class. Despite several injuries, Dean was awarded AMA MX Rookie of the Year followed by back-to-back seasons as runner up in the 250SX class and a championship in the 250MX class.

“I’m so stoked on my new setup and being a part of the 100% team,” Wilson said. “They’re doing some great things and I’m really excited to be involved with the 100% program in the coming years.
