WORLD CHAMP TIM GAJSER DROPS OUT OF MOTOCROSS DES NATIONS

According the World MXGP website, newly crowned 450 World Champion Tim Gajser will not be at the MXDN this weekend. Gajser, who planned to lead the Slovenian team, probably could not have elevated the team to the podium, but as the dominant rider of the 2016 season, he had to be considered a potential individual winner. Gajser reportedly crashed on Wednesday at home in Slovenia, and while he broke no bones, his doctor told him to take two weeks off. Unlike virtually every Vet, Novice and minicycle rider in America, who would ignore their doctors advice, Gajser has decided to sit out the MXDN.

No word on whether Monster played any role in Gajser’s decision—because as of late they are blamed for Tomac’s non-show and the sinking of Lusitania. No matter, Dungey’s, Roczen’s, Tomac’s and Gajser’s non-participation is a blow to the event..
