WORLD MOTOCROSS SERIES POINTS LEADER WOES: CLEMENT DESALLE DISLOCATES SHOULDER

The news from this weekend’s Belgian Championship race at Tongeren is that current 450 World Championship points leader Clement Desalle collided with another rider over a jump and in the ensuing crash dislocated his right shoulder.

Desalle will go for a scan Monday to discover the full extent of the injuries, but is hopeful of a positive prognosis because his shoulder was disloacted for a very brief time before being put back in. Desalle has previous experience with this injury because it is similar to an injury on the same shoulder at Valkenswaard in Holland in 2010. At that time, the Belgian was able to win the following race two weeks later in Portugal.

The Swedish Grand Prix is this coming weekend and Desalle says he will be there to defend his slim lead over Antonio Cairoli.
