SEE THE RESURRECTION OF JASON ANDERSON AT THE OAKLAND SUPERCROSS

At the second round of the 2022 AMA Supercross Championship, the sport was greeted by the sudden revival of former Supercross Champion Jason Anderson and the resurrection of promising rider Aaron Plessinger, who never got a clean shot at living up to the potential he showed in the 250 East/West. Then, when you add in Justin Barcia’s consistency with two thirds in the first two races that resulted in him putting the Red Plate on his red bike for next week’s San Diego Supercross, Ken Roczen’s morning crash and the minor mistake that careened him to the back of the pack, Eli Tomac’s inability to close in once he got within sight of the podium, Dylan Ferrandis’ struggles to capitalize on the momentum he had coming from his 450 outdoor dominance and Chase Sexton’s sudden loss of speed in the Main Event, you have the makings of a much more interesting Supercross series than was evidenced at round one last week.
