DREAM JOBS: LIVING WHAT YOU LOVE
MIKE “NEEZER” MARQUEZ
FOX FACTORY INC. OFF-ROAD MOTORCYCLE PROJECT LEADER
STARTING POINT: “My father started1968 on a Honda Mini Trial in 1968 and I’be been hooked on dirt bikes ever since. It seems like another life now, but I was an AMA pro motocross racer with a National number in 1980. In 1986, I was operations manager for Paul Turner Racing Engines. I was an avid mountain bike rider which lead to co-founding Santa Cruz Bicycles in the mid-90s.”
THE JOB: “I am in the Fox powered vehicle design group. I have been mentored over the past 25 years by great people such as Bob Fox, Paul Turner, Steve Simmons and Mike McAndrews. They helped navigate my long career in the suspension business. My day-to-day duties vary. In the morning I could be working with Creo CAD software and in the afternoon tuning Ronnie Renner’s X Games suspension. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is to see our athletes on the podiums and our customers with a smile.”
