GRAND PRIX OF SWITZERLAND: GAJSER INJURED, COENEN WINS 450 & LAEGENFELDER THE 250

Belgian Lucas Coenen won his first 450 GP of his young career with a 1-1 performance in Switzerland. Second overall went Kawasaki factory rider Romain Febvre with 6-2 score in front of Jeremy Seewer’s 7-3 on the Ducati. In the second moto Tim Gajser had a big crash and was taken off the track in an ambulance with a suspected dislocated shoulder.

The top five in the 450 World championship points are now 1. Tim Gajser 305 points, 2. Romain Febvre 278 points, 3. Lucas Coenen 227 points, 4. Glenn Coldenhoff, 224 points, 5. Maxime Renaux, 188 points

In the 250 GP of Switzerland KTM’s Simon Laengenfelder went 1-1 in front of Husqvarna mounted Liam Everts and points leader Kay De Wolf getting closer to taking over the red plate from defending champion Kay De Wolf, of the Nestaan Husqvarna factory team. Second overall was Liam Everts with 3-3 and third Kay De Wolf with 2-4 scores. Laengenfelder is now only 3 points behind De Wolf in the 250 points chase.

The top five in the 250 World Championship points are now 1. Kay de Wolf 281 points, 2. Simon Laengenfelder 278 points, 3. Andrea Adamo 258 points, 4. Liam Everts 251points and 5. Thibault Benistant 203 points.
