MXA VIDEO: WE BUILD THE ULTIMATE VET BIKE: MC366 BIG BORE
Kent Reed is a close friend of the MXA wrecking crew and a vet rider without a budget. He gave us a brand new 2023 GasGas MC350F, that he bought at AEO Moorsports in Temecula, California, and told Jody to build it up into whatever Jody wanted. Jody built the GasGas exactly how he would have wanted it to be if he owned it. He didn’t have to worry about what Kent Reed wanted or make any compromises to suit Kent’s needs—afterall Kent agreed to give Jody Carte Blanche. The engine combination that Jody chose uses a Cylinder Works 366cc big-bore kit, Akrapovic exhaust and Twisted Development mapped the Vortex ECU. The forks are WP Cone Valve forks lowered to Husqvarna spec, the shock linkage is Husqvarna’s linkage with longer arms to lower the rear and the shock was a revlaved WP Traxx shock that has a 6mm taller seal head cap to keep the rear tire from hitting the fender,—plus a lot of other changes. Then, when the MC366 was finished, the MXA test crew raced it a couple of times and then handed it back over to Kent Reed..
