2024 IRONMAN NATIONAL PRE-RACE REPORT: INJURED LIST, TV SCHEDULE & MORE

Heading into the final motocross race of the year, we finish it off at Ironman. Chase Sexton has a good chance to wrap up the championship given he doesn’t run into bike issues or crashes. He currently sits 28 points ahead of Hunter Lawrence who has put up a great fight throughout the entire season. In the 250 class, Haiden Deegan has already wrapped up the championship but Levi Kitchen has been on a roll winning the last three of four nationals. Kitchen is looking to carry this momentum into the SMX rounds which will be starting in just a few weeks.

FINISHING STRONG

Chase Sexton 2024 Unadilla National--6Chase Sexton is on the brink of winning the 2024 450 motocross series.

Chase Sexton has been on a roll since Red Bud earlier this year and has set himself up very well to become champion of the 2024 motocross series. As the old saying goes consistency wins championships and that is something Chase has done throughout the entire series. However, Hunter Lawrence only trails by 28 points and can make that up if a crash or bike malfunction occurs. With two motos left on the season, it will be an all-out battle to the finish.

DEBUT FOR ADAMS

Drew Adams makes his rookie debut.

Drew Adams has been on top of the A class for the last year and after winning the Horizon Award at the most recent Loretta Lynns, he will be racing the final national of the year at Ironman. Adams also recently did some racing up in Canada for the Canadian Nationals where he battled for the championship. It will be interesting to see how this rookie is able to perform on such a big stage. He will be riding under the Pro Circuit Kawasaki tent this weekend.

Cooper Webb says: “I  felt really awesome in that second one, and was around sixth or seventh and then just had that crash. Unfortunately, I kind of reinjured my thumb. I think it’s okay, and I just shocked it. We’ll get it checked out first thing next week. Overall, I’m just happy to be back at the races and taking these last few Nationals to keep building into SMX.”
