450 OVERALL RESULTS // 2025 IRONMAN NATIONAL – PRESENTED BY FXR RACING
450 RACE RESULTS // 2025 IRONMAN NATIONAL
Chase Sexton has had 21 days to enjoy his Washougal victory, and Jett Lawrence has had the same amount of time to reflect on his second loss in the 450MX class outdoors. Now, the 2025 Ironman National is here, and time will tell if Jett will restart another win-streak, or if Chase, Eli, or even his brother Hunter can keep him off the top step. Ironman also marks the return of Dylan Ferrandis and Shane McElrath, two Honda riders (Dylan with Phoenix Honda and Shane with QuadLock Honda), who are looking to score more points and get ready for the SuperMotocross season. Kyle Webster is also back in the USA for the second time. Last year he came and raced for the QuadLock Honda team, the same team he rides for in Australia, but he only did Southwick and RedBud last year. He recently wrapped up the Australian 450 National Championship, and now he’s in America for the final three Outdoors in the 450 class, and then he’ll jump back down to the Honda CRF250 for Motocross des Nations with Team Australia.

450 OVERALL RESULTS
Hunter Lawrence finally grabbed his first 450 overall win, but it will have an asterisk next to it since his brother was penalized a full lap for jumping the gate in moto 1.
Eli Tomac grabbed the holeshot, but Hunter Lawrence quickly passed for the lead with Justin Cooper and Jorge Prado behind. Chase Sexton was buried off the start in 11th early. Jett had a bad start as well, but he was riding wide open early and quickly made his way to third. Eli went outside and lost a spot to Jett in the mechanic’s corner, and then Jett quickly passed his brother half a lap later for the lead. Jorge Prado was fourth early, holding strong six minutes into the moto. Chase Sexton made a mistake on lap two and dropped to seventh, then he got back into sixth on the next lap. With 20 minutes on the clock, Chase passed Jorge Prado, and at the same time, Hunter Lawrence went down. Eli got around Hunter and Chase went by as well, then Chase launched off the single before the mechanic’s area and landed off balance, with his front wheel sideways. It looks like he blew out the front wheel, causing the front brake to lock up. Chase tried to continue, but he crashed twice trying to get up as the front wheel wouldn’t move.
Hunter was third after getting up from his crash, and Eli Tomac was second, but with two laps left, Eli stalled the bike and let Hunter sneak by for second place in the moto. With Eli in third and RJ Hampshire fourth, this would give RJ Hampshire second overall, his first podium of his 450 career.

450 MOTO 1 RESULTS
Ironman has been on the Pro Motocross schedule since 2014 and it’s usually the finale. But this year, it’s round 9 of 11 to give the track crew more time to prepare for the 2025 Motocross des Nations, which is coming to Crawfordsville, Indiana, in eight weeks’ time.
Eli Tomac grabbed the holeshot, with Jett Lawrence actually hitting the gate, ruining his start. Hunter Lawrence was second with Justin Cooper and Coty Schock behind. Chase Sexton passed Coty right before the finish line, but then he tucked the front end and went down, going from fourth to ninth. RJ Hampshire was sixth after the first lap after qualifying second today. Jett Lawrence was 21st after the first lap. After lap two, Jett moved up to 14th. RJ Hampshire passed Coty Schock for fourth seven minutes into the moto, and Chase Sexton made his way passed Coty shortly after.
10 minutes into the moto, Hunter Lawrence passed Eli Tomac for the lead, and Jett Lawrence passed Jorge Prado for sixth. With 16 minutes to go, Jett caught up to the rear tire of Chase, and then both of them passed Justin Cooper, getting into fourth and fifth, and they were right on RJ Hampshire in third. With 12-1/2 minutes left, Chase got around RJ Hampshire for third. Less than a lap later, Chase got around Eli for second, and then Jett got around RJ for fourth. On the same lap, Hunter Lawrence made a mistake and lost four seconds in one lap (with 10 minutes left on the clock).
One lap later, Jett got around Eli in the mechanic’s corner, the same place he passed RJ Hampshire in one lap earlier. With just under two laps to go, Jett actually got around Chase for a split second, but Chase got a run and closed the door on him again to take back second. Twice, Jett got up the inside of Chase and both times Chase closed the door. Then, with three laps to go, Jett gave up on trying to pass Chase, and clearly let off the throttle. Meanwhile, Justin Cooper and RJ Hampshire both passed Eli Tomac. Then, Hunter made a mistake, allowing Chase to close the gap, and just like that, Chase was able to pass Hunter for the lead.
