BREAKING NEWS: TY MASTERPOOL WILL NOT COMPETE AT ANAHEIM 2 FOLLOWING INJURY

Ty Masterpool had a scary crash in San Diego when he overjumped through one of the rhythm sections with the bike flying nose down. When he hit the upramp of the next jump his bike rebounded back up into his chin and Ty went flying for roughly thirty feet before crashing down. It had been rumored that he had injured his hand or fingers and most recently we had a release from Pro Circuit Kawasaki confirming that he would not be racing this weekend in Anaheim

TROUBLE IN SAN DIEGO

Ty Masterpool is out for Anaheim 2.

Ty Masterpool was brought on to the West Coast in a last-minute decision as his teammate Levi Kitchen fell ill before Anaheim 1 and would miss the round. The decision came to move Levi East and Ty would step up on the West Coast. Ty started the day in San Diego well qualifying in eighth and then finishing fourth in his heat race. In the main event, he got off to a decent start and had riders like Haiden Deegan and Jo Shimoda behind him. When battling with Shimoda he made a costly mistake in the difficult rhythm that riders were quading through. It appeared when Jo Shimoda dove underneath him in the corner before that Ty was still going to attempt the quad but as he and Shimoda got close to each other he last second decided to lay up. The quick breaking on the face sent him nose down into the rest of the rhythm, however, he still was overjumping the triple. This caused him to face into the next jump sending him into a vertical sail until he landed hard on the backside. He was slow to remount the bike and would not finish the main event. We are unsure of how long he will be out but he will not be racing in Anaheim this weekend.

Ty Masterpool is a full-time member of the Pro Circuit squad but was filling in on the West for Levi Kitchen.
