With the Dubya-sponsored World Vet Championships only a month away, the Over-50 Expert class at REM is heating up. Ian Fitz-Gibbon (21) leads Bryan Friday (43), Phil Dowell (23) and Luther French (2). French would win with a 3-1 over Friday’s 2-2 and Dowell’s 1-3. Number 501 is Over-40 Expert Billy Mercier. REM does not race next Saturday, October 10, because of the “24 Hours of Glen Helen.” REM will return on October 17, October 24 and October 31.
