450 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS
Eli Tomac took the first 450 moto win.
It was the factory Honda rider of Chase Sexton who got the holeshot in the first 450 moto with Ryan Dungey in second and Tomac third. Unfortunately, Dungey had some bike problems and had to pull off the track allowing Tomac to second and Roczen third.
By the fifth lap Sexton and Tomac already had a 10-second lead on the factory Honda rider Ken Roczen.
Tomac got by Sexton for the lead on the 5th lap and they stayed close to each other.
When Dungey was interviewed it seems there was an electronic issue that caused his KTM 450SXF to DNF.
The lead by the 10th lap was more than 20 seconds ahead of Roczen with Jason Anderson closing in. Anderson got around Roczen for third. Anderson was 29 seconds behind the leaders when he got by Kenny.
In the final laps Sexton was battling with Tomac for the lead when they both went down. When they picked it up they continued their battle.
