OVERALL 250 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 IRONMAN NATIONAL

The Ironman National is the final Motocross National of the year. The 250 Class has HRC Honda’s Hunter Lawrence with a 22-point lead over Star Racing Yamaha’s Justin Cooper. After more bad luck for Haiden Deegan at Budds Creek, he slowly watched his title slip away while going down at the restart. Hunter Lawrence has the potential to win the Championship in the first moto, but the veteran of the class will not take any risks.

OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Times in the second qualifying session were similar to those of the first session. Again, Levi Kitchen leads them through, followed by Haiden Deegan and Seth Hammaker. Hunter Lawrence was sixth in the practice and looking to be not pushing over the top with so much on the line. The track was still in great condition, and Haiden Deegan was finding alternate lines throughout, even sending a massive triple at the end of the practice. It’s a jump even the 450’s are not doing currently.  With the close times and mix of results, it should be an exciting set of motos.

 250 QUALIFYING ONE TIMES

At the beginning of the Group A 250 practice, we saw Seth Hammaker coming in with the first fast time of the day, moving himself to the podium’s top step. It would be short-lived as just a couple laps later, Haiden Deegan was able to set a fast pace, knocking Seth out of the top position; Seth would go on to nearly match Haiden Deegan’s time only off by a few thousandths of a second. Justin Cooper and Hunter Lawrence followed closely within a second of the leaders. With only three minutes left in the session, Levi Kitchen would squeeze into the top position, grabbing his fastest morning time. He would then go on to lead through the practice.
