A LITTLE PRE-MIX ADVICE: IS IT K2 OR K2 INJECTOR OIL?

MXA runs Formula K2 in our two-strokes, but does not run K2 Injector oil as a pre-mix. It is designed for oil-injector systems.

IS IT K2 OR K2 INJECTOR OIL?
Dear MXperts,
I know that MXA says it runs Maxima K2 pre-mix oil in its two-strokes. Is that Maxima K2 or K2 Injector oil? And, what ratio do you mix it at? Also, do you mix any VP race gas with the pump gas?

We run Maxima K2 pre-mix. Do not run Maxima K2 injector oil as pre-mix. It is it is only for fuel-injected two-strokes that have an oil-injector system like KTM’s TPI system. Injector oil is much thinner than regular pre-mix to ensure that it gets through the injector tubes easier, which makes it unsuited as a pre-mix. We run all of our two-stroke engine oil at 40:1 (in spite of what KTM says). As far as race gas goes, we only add VP C12 to our pump gas if we detect pinging under a load. We typically run 50 percent C12 and 50 percent pump gas, but only if the engine needs it.
