It’s the seventh round of the 2022 Pro Motocross season as we have arrived at Spring Creek (Millville) for another round of exciting racing. In the points, Jett Lawrence has reclaimed his red plate from his very own brother, Hunter Lawrence. There are several riders who haven’t been making it exactly easy for the two Honda riders though, as Jo Shimoda, Justin Cooper, and Seth Hammaker have shown they want a win as much as the two Australians. Scroll down below to find out what happens when the hate drops for the motos.

Justin Cooper was first across the holeshot line but the rookie Nick Romano would take the lead. The Lawrence bros would make their way around the leader by the second lap and Justin Cooper would also get around his teammate Nick. Thomas Welch would go down big time after the first turn and the race would be red flagged. Stilez Robertson would also be driven off the course after a gnarly crash involving several riders would occur on the first lap.

The race restarted with Justin Cooper once again grabbing the holeshot. Jo Shimoda got a good start but Jett Lawrence would make short work of the Kawi rider. Jett Lawrence would put on a hard charge for the lead, passing Justin Cooper for first on the second lap. Before the 20 minute mark, Jo was giving it his all trying to pass Justin Cooper and would continue until the 17 minute mark.

However, the worst-case scenario would happen for Star Yamaha when two teammates, Nate Thrasher and Nick Romano would crash mid-flight with one of the most bizarre crashes this season. Nick’s rear tire would just barely knick Nate’s front tire by the knobbies causing the two to rotate in the air. Jett would go on to win the race and Rj Hampshire would go down just turns before the finish.

250 MOTO 1 RACE RESULTS

Jett Lawrence grabbed the holeshot with Justin Cooper chasing in second place. Half of a lap later, Justin Cooper drove his Star Yamaha past Jett Lawrence for the lead while the two Lawrence brothers chased in second and third. But just a few turns later, Justin would throw it away pushing the front end out and sliding across the Millville soil. Seth Hammaker joined the party but Jett Lawrence would soon regain his lead. Michael Mosiman had a huge get-off and be found off to the side of the track.

The Lawrence bros drag raced around Spring Creek with Jett coming out on top. Around the 18 minute mark, Hunter took the lead away from Jett and Max Vohland would move up into third past Hammaker. An insanely close battle for fourth ensued between Seth Hammaker, Nate Thrasher, Rj Hampshire, Justin Cooper, and Jo Shimoda. Seth would falter and the battle would shuffle with Rj Hampshire in the lead position. With less than 10 minutes left, the Lawrence brothers were more than 15 seconds ahead of third place’s Max Vohland, with Max being 6 seconds ahead of fourth.

At the seven minute mark, Jo got around Rj and started to speed towards Max. With two laps left, race traffic held up Hunter Lawrence and Jett would make a pass for the lead. With just a few turns left, Jo would overtake third with Max showing his best performance of the season.
