CATCHING UP WITH 14-YEAR-OLD PRODIGY HAIDEN “DANGER BOY” DEEGAN
MXA INTERVIEW: CATCHING UP WITH 14-YEAR-OLD PRODIGY HAIDEN “DANGER BOY” DEEGAN
At only 14-years-old, Haiden Deegan aka “Danger Boy” is a big deal in the amateur racing scene for two reasons. First, because of his skill and speed on a dirt bike and secondly, because of his families strong social media platforms. The noun “prodigy” refers to a highly talented young person. The noun “protégé” refers to someone whose training or career is advanced by an influential person. With the guidance from his Dad, Brian Deegan, Haiden fits in both the prodigy and protégé categories.
The Deegan Compound is set up with everything Haiden needs to train and prepare for racing in his backyard. Not only do they have multiple motocross tracks, but they also have a Supercross track that advances with Haiden as his abilities increase. Instead of waiting until he’s ready to turn Pro to ride Supercross, Haiden is already logging in valuable hours on his personal SX track and whenever he out grows it, they grab the bull dozer and make it more of a challenge.
The MXA wrecking crew recently visited the Deegan facility to hangout with Brian and Haiden, ride their tracks and test out Haiden’s wicked fast Orange Brigade KTM 112cc Supermini. You can read the full in-depth article on Haiden’s factory two-stroke in the upcoming August issue of Motocross Action Magazine and stay tuned to our YouTube channel for our in-depth test video on Haiden’s bike with footage of him riding the Supercross track on it.
