NEW OWNERS FOR ARIZONA’S CANYON RACEWAY

Arizona’s Canyon Raceway will be under new management for the 2007 racing season. The entire facility is being purchased by co-promoters Andy Critser and Jim Bonde. Andy has been a fixture of Arizona racing for many years. Jim is a successful Arizona businessman with deep racing roots. A former motocross racer, Jim began racing dirt modifieds a couple years ago and is excited to take control of the 3/8’s mile dirt oval as well as the motocross track. The co-promoters have big plans for the facility including general clean-up and repair of the existing oval, a well timed and well run weekly racing production and a promise to restore the racing complex to a high level of competition.

“One of our teams main goals is to get the fans back out to Canyon” said co- promoter Andy Critser. “We think the way to do that is to promote the facility throughout the community, promote the racers and give the fans a show that starts on time, finishes in a timely manner and gives the fans some of the best racing they can find in the southwest”.

The new owners will also be holding a get together at the track sometime in January to recognize the 2006 racing season’s top drivers with a points fund payout and awards.

The promoting duo has much work to do in the next couple of weeks and will be posting all information including practice dates, winter series dates/classes and special promotions on their web site www.canyonraceway.net
