Dear MXA,

I’ve been waiting to read an MXA test of the new Scott Genius boot, but you guys haven’t done one. ÿI trust your tests more than any one else’s, but I see where other mags and sites have written complete tests on the new boot. What is the hold up?

Just like everyone else, the MXA test crew has ridden in the Scott Genius boot, but only at a press intro for about two hours. We don’t test products as important as motocross boots by wearing them at a Ride Day for a couple hours. We want to live with the boots, race in them and find out what is right and wrong about them over the long haul. We will test the Scott genius boot when there is a real-life product to test. Scott has a time line for when it will have production boots and the MXA wrecking crew is willing to wait for the real thing before writing a test.
