The 2024 AMA Supercross Championship is now officially past the halfway point, with nine races down and eight to go. Both the 250 and 450 classes were “gimme’s” as Tom Vialle and Jett Lawrence took the leads of their respective classes on the first lap and never looked back. Cooper Webb yo-yo’ed behind Lawrence in the 2- to 4-second range in the 450 class—and even had time to clean out the 30-second board girl on his way to second place. Vialle, won his first-ever 250 East Supercross last week at Daytona, saying he now wanted to win a stadium-style race, and did just that in Birmingham. Poor Max Anstie came into Alabama with the 250 East points lead, but left with a Honda engine that was a bucket of bolts.
