WATCH THE SWEDISH MOTOCROSS GRAND PRIX IN UNDER 10 MINUTES

In the 450 class on a muddy Uddevalla track, Jeremy Seewer took his second MXGP victory of the 2023 season, but Jorge Prado came out smelling like a rose even though he finished third overall behind Seewer and Febvre. How so? Although Romain Febvre went 2-2 and earned 4 more points than Prado did with a 1-6—Jorge Prado won his tenth Saturday 450 Qualifier race, earning 10 bonus points, while Febvre finished fifth and only got 6 points. Thus, Febvre didn’t gain any points of Prado and the Spaniard’s lead still remains at 98 points over Febvre with four GPs left in the 2023 season.

Romain Febvre (3) thought he had gained points on points leader Jorge Prado and he did, but he didn’t.

Jeffrey Herlings went 8-4 for fourth overall, while Maxime Renaux returned to action after missing 9 GPS. Amazing, Maxime is still 10th in 450 points thanks to the points he scored in the first five races of the year.

Simon Laegenfelder is fourth in 250 Grand Prix points.

In the 250 class, GasGas factory rider Simon Laengenfelder used a 1-2 for the third 250 GP victory of his career. Liam Everts finished second overall with a 2-3 in front of current 250 points leade Andrea Adamo, who went 10-1 finishing second to Andrea Adamo in moto two. Second overall went ti Liam Everts Liam Everts with 2-3 results and third overall was Andrea Adamo with 10-1 scores. Adamo’s point lead was helped when Jago Geerts could race in Sweden after a crash at the last GP. Adamo now leads Liam Everts by 80 with Holland, Turkey, Italy and Great Britain to go.

It was muddy at Uddevalla and there were lots of crashes, but Jorge Prado won the first moto and Saturday’s qualifier.
