450 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 GLENDALE SUPERCROSS

Qualifying has commenced in Glendale for the sixth round of the 2024 Supercross series. The track this weekend is dry, yet challenging, and is expected to facilitate an exciting night of racing. Chase Sexton currently leads in points, with a slim margin of just one point over Jett Lawrence. Lawrence, fresh from his victory last weekend in Detroit, will undoubtedly draw attention to see whether he can maintain the momentum into this weekend’s event, or if another rider will seize the opportunity. Eli Tomac, who struggled last weekend on a tight, deep track that typically exposes issues with his shock, aims to make a comeback on this less confined but equally technical track. Meanwhile, Ken Roczen is intent on recovering some valuable points, having shown consistent improvement with each passing weekend. Stay tuned for all the qualifying action detailed below.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Carrying momentum from a third-place finish in Detroit, Ken Roczen seeks the top step of the podium.

Coming into the second qualifier, Shane McElrath grabbed the holeshot, as riders in this qualifier had a practice start. Cooper Webb moved up front early, where he began to click off his laps. Jett Lawrence was able to improve his time from the first session early in session two. It appears that the lines on the track are starting to form better as the conditions look to hold up. Aaron Plessinger looked comfortable with the conditions, easily maneuvering his way through the technical rhythms and securing himself in the fifth position. Towards the end of the session, Jason Anderson was able to snatch the top position, beating out Jett Lawrence’s top times. Eli Tomac was able to place himself in third followed by Ken Roczen. The top four riders are all within the same second, but it is Jason Anderson who leads them into the night show.

450 QUALIFYING SESSION 1 RESULTS

Riding through injury, Chase Sexton injured a bone in his hand and did not practice through the week.

Leading them out were Vince Friese and Justin Barcia, who began putting down laps in the first session. In his usual fashion, Jett Lawrence started the practice slower to get a good look at the track and compare it to its condition on press day. Aaron Plessinger was looking good early on as he began picking off the laps. However, it was Ken Roczen who topped the leaderboard early, just edging out Jett Lawrence with a lap time of 1:06. But with the session still in its early stages, times were expected to continue dropping. In a short span, both Jason Anderson and Eli Tomac managed to break into the 1:05 mark. But around the halfway point of the practice, we see Jett Lawrence climb back to the top only to quickly be overcome again by Eli Tomac. In the last few minutes, however, Jason Anderson was able to break into 1:04 times and but soon enough Jett Lawrence surpassed him and took the top spot of the session.
