MXA BUILDS A FULL-RACE YAMAHA YZ250F FOR AN AMA PRIVATEER
MXA is made up of motorcycle racers, including AMA National and Supercross racers, so when one of our younger test riders said that he wanted to do the complete AMA 250 National circuit in 2018, we decided to help him out. We knew that racing at the top was expensive—so we wanted to help, But, we were not the only benefactors for Hawaiian Brian Medeiros. Pasha Racing supplied a brand-new Yamaha YZ250F, Bones Bacon did the suspension, Mitch Payton threw in a $8,000 Pro Circuit YZ250 engine, Denns Stapleton guided Brian every day, Works Connection offered help and MetalTek worked on the set-up for Brian’s small size. It was the close-knit moto community that pulled together—we were glad to be a part of it for our friend. That is what’s great about motocross—people want to help riders who work hard, give it all they got and keep smiling—even if the results don’t come as quickly as the racer would like.
