DREAM JOBS: LIVING WHAT YOU LOVE

CHARLIE FLIPPEN – MECHANIC FOR AMERICAN HONDA

STARTING POINT: “I had a passion for motocross at a young age, and I became a local Pro. After a while, I started getting involved in testing and photo shoots for some motocross magazines and manufacturers. I met a lot of great people while testing and eventually got a great opportunity to work for a manufacturer. For a while, I strayed away from dirt bikes and went to school for culinary arts to become a chef, but that was short-lived. I realized that the motorcycle industry is where I belong.”

THE JOB:
“I split my time between the Honda motorcycle service shop and working as a race mechanic for WMX racer Sayaka Kaneshiro. At the service shop, we handle all the press and advertising for Honda. I also get to come out to the track with magazines and make sure their needs are met.”
