FIRST LOOK: YAMAHA’S 2026 MOTOCROSS LINEUP
Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, is announcing its new 2026 lineup of advanced, industry-leading YZ off-road competition motorcycles highlighted by an extensive update to its flagship YZ450F Motocross model, a handful of key updates to its two-stroke YZ125 and four stunning new 70th Anniversary Edition YZ models celebrating the 1955 birth of the Yamaha Motor Company.

Yamaha’s off-road competition bikes offer the very latest in technology with performance features designed to help racing enthusiasts reach their maximum potential, win races, and stand on top of the podium.
2026 YAMAHA YZ450F
Product Line Manager Derek Brooks said: “On paper, the changes may appear subtle; however, the enhanced feeling of connection and control on the bike is huge. This new YZ is easier to ride faster for longer.”
Updates to the YZ450F center around a new frame design, revised suspension, engine updates, and body refinements. The new frame is matched with a new high-performance KYB® rear shock and revised fork settings which give the rider confidence to charge harder and corner faster. Engine character is also refined with the addition of a revised intake port design, air intake, and exhaust achieving a more connected, linear response in the low- to mid-range for enhanced control, while still maintaining the YZ450F’s renowned top-end power.

2026 YAMAHA YZ250F
No extensive changes were made to the YZ250F.

Still the same as many years prior the YZ250 two-stroke is still the same bike we all know and love.

2026 YAMAHA YZ125
New updates are coming to the YZ125 two-stroke for 2026.
Yamaha is also updating its 2026 YZ125 two-stroke competition model and 2026 YZ125 Yamaha 70th Anniversary Edition with an updated intake design and revised carburetion and CDI settings for more consistent performance in varying conditions, more linear power delivery and enhanced rideability. 2026 YAMAHA YZ85
Yamaha will again be selling a LW YZ85 which is a big wheel model as well as the regular sized YZ85.

The YZ65 is the same machine as last year which has been near the top of the class for the past few years.
