INSPIRATIONS: CHRIS GOSSELAAR
THE PEOPLE AND THINGS THAT INSPIRED THE LONG-TIME NATIONAL RIDER

RICKY CARMICHAEL
“I used to stay at Ricky’s house in Florida, and he would help me train. He also taught me how to ride all the different terrains, which has really helped me out in my racing.”

MIKE GOSSELAAR
“My dad has helped me out from when I was a kid up until now. Back when I was young, he taught me how motorcycles worked and how to fix problems. That way if I have a problem with my bike, I can solve it when I’m testing.”

MITCH PAYTON
“Mitch helps so much. He doesn’t take any shortcuts with the team, and he’s very serious about winning. Mitch knows how to win championships, and his serious approach to racing gives me the confidence to succeed.”

LANCE ARMSTRONG
“I am definitely inspired by Lance Armstrong and what he has done in his career. His book, ?It’s Not About the Bike’ is really the only book that I have read lately, but it’s such a great book.”

STEVE PREFONTAINE
“I really like this movie called ?Prefontaine.’ It’s about a record-setting runner named Steve Prefontaine. It also shows his struggle to win and has a naturalistic dramatization of what he went through. It’s really an inspirational film.”

MY FIRST NATIONAL
“My first National was when I knew that racing professionally was what I was supposed to do as a career. I had a lot of fun at my first pro race, even though it didn’t go as planned because I didn’t do very well.”

I INSPIRE
“I hope that I inspire any kids who might look up to me. I try to do my best, and hopefully young kids see that and do the same thing.”
