MOTOCROSS GP ON A ROAD RACE CIRCUIT: SEE HOW IT HAPPENS

In order to bring motocross to the masses, not to mention sell more tickets, the 2018 FIM World Motocross Championship will hold a round inside the famous Assen TT road race circuit. Not just inside, but right down the front straight of the automobile racing track. Sand is trucked in from off-site to cover the pavement. Luckily, sand is in good supply in Holland. There are only two races left in the 2018 Championship and there is no doubt that the deep sand over the Assen asphalt favors current points leader and Dutch sand specialist Jeffrey Herlings. What’s next? An airport runway? Walmart parking lot? Oprah’s driveway?
