MXA TEAM TESTED: VEO STRIP SWEATBAND
WHAT IS IT? The Veo Strip is unlike normal sweatbands that work by soaking up sweat. The Veo Strip is a sweat-diverting strip that’s patented and made in the USA. It’s an ultralight adhesive strip that channels sweat away from your goggles and your eyes.
WHAT’S IT COST? $14.99 (6 strips), $34.99 (30 strips), $89.99 (90 strips). Use code: MXAVEO5 to save $5 on a 30 or 90-pack.

WHAT STANDS OUT? Here’s a list of things that stand out with the Veo Strip sweat-diverting bands.
(1) Issue. Many racers struggle when sweat comes off their head/forehead, soaks through their goggle foam, and then splashes on the inside of their goggle lens. A little bit of sweat on the lens is normal, but riders who sweat more than average or who ride in hotter climates can experience blurred vision, which makes for a dangerous ride.
Sweat cools your body by evaporating from the skin’s surface. During exercise, the forehead produces more sweat per inch than any other part of the body. Thankfully, the Veo Strip allows your sweat to do its cooling job while keeping it out of your eyes and off your goggle lens.
(2) Current solutions. Almost every top AMA Pro uses a maxi pad on their goggle foam. It works for some, but for most, once they start sweating heavily, gravity takes over and sweat gets past the pad and onto the lenses. Certain goggles are better than others. EKS Brand does a great job of diverting sweat down the sides of the goggle, but even the best goggles don’t work if you’re doing a long moto on a hot summer day.
(3) How it works. The strip is basically like a rain gutter for your forehead. It’s made from rubber, weighs less than 2 grams, and should be positioned in between your helmet and goggles.
We recommend cleaning your forehead with an alcohol wipe to eliminate the natural oils on your skin to help the strip stick better. Before installing the strip, put your helmet on. Then, find a mirror, peel the adhesive, and stick the strip to your forehead just under your helmet line so that it is positioned between your helmet and your goggles. Don’t stretch the Veo Strip, just stick it in place.
(4) Performance. MXA’s Josh Mosiman has struggled with sweat on the inner lens of his goggles for years. No matter the goggle brand, it didn’t matter. He’s used maxi pads and even tried homemade options like Plasti Dip on the top of the goggle foam, but nothing worked. Josh stated, “I sweat more than most racers. For years, I have been asking knowledgeable people for sweat solutions, and it was KTM’s Andy Jefferson who pointed me to the Veo Strip. Honestly, I feel safer at the end of my races now that I can see without any sweat on my lenses.”
(5) Options. The Veo Strip is available in clear or black color options. Also, you can recycle your strips, and Veo will send you a return label and envelope in your package to ship the used strips back.
WHAT’S THE SQUAWK? It can be hard to keep the strip on when you remove your helmet, so be careful. The strips are one-time use only, so save them for longer motos and hotter days when you need them most.
MXA RATING: The Veo Strip solves a problem that has troubled racers for decades. Vision matters most when you’re tired and nearing the end of a race. Now, sweat is no longer an issue.
