DANE PAPPAS’ LORETTA LYNN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING MC85

Northern California’s Dane Pappas started riding in the Spring of 2020 and won the 85cc Mini-Sr. 2 class at Loretta Lynn’s in August of 2024. What a trajectory! His GasGas MC85 two-stroke was purpose-built for winning Loretta’s with a Twisted Development engine, FMF pipe, and silencer, REP-tuned WP Cone Valve forks and Trax shock, ODI handlebars, Pro Circuit triple clamps, and much more. In this video, MXA test riders Amari Arnold and Josh Mosiman shake down Dane’s bike, and then Josh does a little lap time battle with Dane at Glen Helen. Finally, engine builder Jamie Ellis comes on camera to talk about working with the Pappas family and building their 85cc spec engine.
