REM GLEN HELEN REPORT: Dylan McKee Wins 450 Pro Over Parker Eckman And Travis Bright; Steve Lawler Takes Over-50 Experts, While Billy Musgrave Sweeps 450 Intermediates

REM GLEN HELEN REPORT:
DYLAN MCKEE WINS 450 PRO OVER PARKER ECKMAN AND TRAVIS BRIGHT; STEVE LAWLER TAKES OVER-50 EXPERTS, WHILE BILLY MUSGRAVE SWEEPS 450 INTERMEDIATES

Dylan McKee has notched a 450 Pro win to his gun belt.

After the first 450 Pro moto it looked like Parker Eckman had the win in the bag. Parker was dominant in the first moto, but nothing is a “sure thing” in motocross. Parker ran into issues in moto two and the win went to Dylan McKee (2-1).

Billy Musgrave, who has specialized in the 250 Intermediate class (normally on a two-stroke), borrowed his dad Willy’s CRF450 and moved up to the 450 Intermediates. It was kismet as Billy won both motos and looked at home on the 450. Michael Meade was second, Michael Politte third, Dillon Alexander fourth and Clint Backlund fifth.

Jeagher LaFountaine took the 250 Intermediate win.

Jeagher LaFountaine took the 250 Intermediate class and it was sweet revenge. LaFountaine was leading the first 250 Intermediate moto when KIlly Rusk booted LaFountaine so far off the track that Jeagher was riding on dirt that had never seen a wheel before. Rusk took the first moto with LaFountaine second, Preston Tilford third, Amando Aguilar fourth and Cody Woodworth fifth. In the second moto, Rusk was winning when he made an off-track excursion?allowing Jeagher LaFountaine (2-1) by for the overall victory. Rusk held on for second with a 1-4.

Brad Layton (192), Adam Waheed (33), Johnny Chico (155), Taylor Lacombe (21), Haley Rogers (124), Andrew Gerke (900), Allen Intihar (26) and Noah Gerke (955) spread out across the track.

Steve Lawler didn’t win a single moto in the massive Over-50 Expert race, but Steve’s 3-2 was more consistent that Greg Nelson’s 1-5, Jim Hoover’s 6-1 or Randy Skinner’s 5-3.

Greg Groom recently turned 50 and moved to the Over-50 Intermediate class. Getting old has paid off because Greg went 1-1 in front of Marc Crosby (2-2), Ray Pisarski (3-3), Jon Caper (4-4), Anthony Matthews (5-5) and Gary Scott (6-8).

Preston Tilford has been out with a broken collarbone, but returned to action as a test rider for Vance And Hines.

There were ten Over-60 Experts on the line and Alan Olson was the fastest rider, but since he and Preston Tilford were sharing a KTM 250SXF to do pipe testing for Vance And Hines, Alan would race to the front of the Over-50 Experts, then pull in on the white flag to give the bike to Preston for his race. Dennis McAdam inherited the victory in both motos in front of a top five made up of AMA Hall of Famer Lars Larsson (3-2), Tom White (of White Bros and Museum fame), Bengt Johansson and T.V. Holmes.

Hunter Falk, third in the 250 Novices and second in 250 Open.

Vet Intermediate: Tim Olson.

Over-40 Expert: Phil Dowell.

Over-40 Intermediate: C.T. Falk.

Over-40 Novice: Todd Wiseman.

250 Novice: R.J. Wageman.

125 Novice: Roly Nilarp
