SEBASTIEN TORTELLI CALLS IT QUITS

Former 125 and 250 World Champion Sebastien Tortelli announced his retirement at the Paris Supercross this past weekend. Tortelli spent seven years racing in America after his GP success, only to return to Europe in 2006 to race for the KTM team. Tortelli had a contract clause that guaranteed him a return to the AMA series if he could win the FIM 450 title.

Unfortunately for Sebastien, he dislocated his hip at the Portuguese GP and had to drop out of the 2006 GP season. When KTM announced its 2007 line-up, Tortelli was not on the list, but many people assumed that he would return to the USA for one last chance at American success.

Sebastien Tortelli was always a gentleman. He was a professional motorcycle racer of the highest degree.
