WATCH THE 2023 RED BUD NATIONAL IN UNDER 12 MINUTES

The return of Chase Sexton to the fold didn’t change the outcome of the 450 National Motocross Championship, as Jett Lawrence continues on his perfect way to this fifth win of the 2023 AMA National Motocross Championship. Dylan Ferrandis and Chase Sexton proved to be the best of the rest—which holds some promise for the upcoming rounds when Webb and Roczen most likely return and Jason Anderson gets back in the groove.

In the 250 National Championship, Hunter Lawrence saw a big chunk of his 250 points lead disappear when he was this week’s victim of another first turn pile up at the start of the second moto. Hunter, Jett Reynolds, Derek Kelley and Bryson Raymond were all down on the ground. Hunter couldn’t continue, but according to Honda, he did not break any bones (he was dangling his right hand after the crash).

That crash opened the door for Haiden Deegan to use consistency to win the Red Bull 250 National with a 2-3 in front of Levi Kitchen’s 7-1 and Justin Cooper’s 4-4. Lawrences’s DNF of moto two leaves him only 11 points ahead of Deegan in the points chase.
