WATCH THE FINAL MXGP RACE OF 2023 AT MATTERLEY BASIN IN UNDER 10 MINUTES

The 2023 FIM 450 World Championship was settled a couple weeks ago when Jorge Prado iced the title chase against Romain Febvre and Jeremy Seewer, so the Grand Prix of Great Britain at Matterley Basin was a chance for riders outside of the top three to move up a spot or two. Tim Gajser, who missed the most of the 2023 season while recovering from injuries, finally notched an overall victory—proving that he is back to full strength (even though he didn’t score enough points to make the top ten overall).

In the 250 class, Jago Geerts won the final 250 Grand Prix with a solid 3-1 performance. It was a fitting end for Geerts’ 250 career as he will move to the 450 class in 2024. Simon Laengenfelder continues his rapid rise to the top as he went 1-4 for second overall and is third in the final 250 World Championship points behind Andrea Adamo and Jago Geerts. Adamo had clinched the 250 World Championship on the same weekend as Prado had the 450 title and went 4-3 in Great Britain.
