KEN DE DYCKER BREAKS WRIST, BUT HAS TIME TO RECOVER BEFORE THE GP’S START

KTM Factory rider Ken De Dycker was injured in an accident on Saturday, December 21 at the Lommel circuit. The 29-year old Belgian rider sustained multiple fractures to his left wrist during what was essentially a recreational ride after hard training with the factory team in Italy. De Dycker had been training with the KTM team in Italy the weekend before, but returned to Belgium and was riding a KTM 250 enduro bike when he crashed into a stalled rider on the other side of a blind jump. Ken underwent surgery by Dr. Tom Claes that same day…and had plates and screws installed.

DeDycker finished third overall in the 2013 450 World Championship and was on the winning Belgium team at the Motocross des Nations and also a national champion. He hopes to be back in time for the first GP in qatar on March 1.
