2020 MANTOVA #3 GP RESULTS: STALEMATE IN THE 250 CLASS & CAIROLI AND GAJSER STAY CLOSE

Cairoli and Prado are second and fourth in 450 points.

At the last of three GPs held in Mantova the 250 Championship race didn’t change much after Jago Geerts (2-1) and Tom Viale (1-2) split moto wins. This left the points difference between them with 7 races to go stalemated at 478 points for Vialle and 432 for Geerts. Vialle has managed his bad days better than Geerts.

Meanwhile in the 450 World Motocross Championship, Tim Gajser took the overall with Tony Cairoli, who won the second 450 moto, was second overall. Gajser’s 1-2 and Cairoli’s 5-1 leave them only 11 points apart as they head to Spain for next Sunday’s 12th round. The final six races of the 2020 World Motocross Championship are triple headers in Lommel and Trentino.

Jago Geerts needs to put some separation between him and points leader Tom Vialle. That didn’t happen in Mantova.

Tom Vialle has stayed in the 250 points lead since March 1 at Matterley Basin.
