2023 MILLVILLE NATIONAL PRE-RACE REPORT: INJURED LIST, TV SCHEDULE & MORE
2023 MILLVILLE NATIONAL PRE-RACE REPORT: INJURED LIST, TV SCHEDULE & MORE
The 2023 Pro Motocross championship has made its way to Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, Minnesota, for the seventh round of the season. Jett Lawrence is 12-0 this season and has not lost a single moto this summer. With strong performances at the last round at Southwick from Chase Sexton, Dylan Ferrandis, Aaron Plessinger, and the rest of the field, Lawrence was able to ride away from everyone in both motos. Now, the 250 class at Southwick was something else. Tom Vialle was able to go 1-3 for his first overall win, while Hunter Lawrence’s bike had to be retired early in Moto 1, causing a DNF and no points in the moto. From this emerged Haiden Deegan, who did not have the best weekend for his standards but kept it consistent, which ultimately led to him taking over the Overall Points Standings.

LAST WEEK’S FANTASY WINNER JAMES POUGHER
AUSTIN FORKNER IS IN FOR MILLVILLE
After sustaining a knee injury at the beginning of the Supercross season, Austin Forkner (55) sat out the entire season as well as the beginning of the Motocross National series. Austin makes his first return to the circuit at Millville just in time to potentially take points from the front runners and give his teammate Jo Shimoda a better chance at the Championship.
SHANE MCELRATH IS BACK RACING AT MILLVILLE
Shane McElrath (12) posted on social media earlier this week that he was testing the new Yamaha YZ450 and is in for the Millville National. Coming off 250 win at the WSX series opener we’re excited to see Shane hop on the 450 and mix it up with the series leaders.
PIERCE BROWN RETURNING TO MILLVILLE
After breaking his hand prior to the outdoor season, Pierce Brown (33) makes his return at Millville. We saw him testing this past week at Glen Helen and can say he looks ready to battle up front.
HAIDEN DEEGAN TAKES THE RED PLATE
Haiden Deegan (238) secured a 6th at the Southwick National. After Hunter Lawrence (96) was left with bike troubles in Moto 1, Haiden’s consistency prevailed with the Red Plate.
THE FRENCH ARE MAKING A PUSH
Tom Vialle (128) takes his first overall win at Southwick. This is continuing the momentum forward for the French riders as we are in the second half of the season. Dylan Ferrandis (14) has also been strong in the better half of the season, where he has ridden his way to a podium position in the last couple of rounds.

2023 AMA NATIONAL TV SCHEDULE: ALL PEACOCK ALL THE TIME
BEAT BUT NOT DEFEATED
Chase Sexton (23) put in his best effort at the Southwick National but unfortunately came up short to Jett Lawrence again. If we know Chase, giving up is not in his nature. We’re sure Chase has put together every possible solution to come out on top this weekend.
JO SHIMODA UP FRONT ONCE AGAIN
Jo Shimoda (30) went 6-1 last weekend at Southwick.
Jo Shimoda sat rather silent through the first half of the season. He garnished a few podium positions, which kept him consistent and in a good spot in the points standings. Jo’s speed was really not revealed until the second moto of the Southwick National. The track, brutal, and heat index were at their worst; Jo did not lead the entire moto but made his way up to the top position catching and passing the overall winner Tom Vialle.
By the end of the moto, Jo had amassed over a five-second lead over Justin Cooper and would take the fastest lap of the race. This shows us that Jo’s endurance, along with his motivation to be upfront, makes him a contender in this points chase going into the last five races of the season. Currently, Jo only sits 20 points out from leader Haiden Deegan. Will we see Jo on the top step again this season? We sure hope so!
