COOPER WEBB SUFFERED A MID WEEK PRACTCIE CRASH AND IS OUT OF RED BUD
Cooper Webb (2) will not be at Red Bud. That’s a shame because he is running third in the 450 points standings and with the return of Chase Sexton and Jason Anderson there was hope of some real battles up front,
CHASE SEXTON RETURNS FOR RED BUD
Chase Sexton is looking to make his return to Red Bud this weekend, a hometown race for the Illinois native. After suffering a concussion as well as being diagnosed with Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) following the Fox Raceway National, Chase has spent the past few weeks recovering, and luckily, the outdoor series took a one-week break. Will Chase be able to run the pace of Jett Lawrence after his brief hiatus?
PIERCE BROWN RETURNS FOR RED BUD
Pierce Brown will make his return at round five of the Motocross National series at the 2023 Red Bud National. He missed the start of the season due to a broken hand he had suffered during the Supercross Season.

KEN ROCZEN IS OUT FOR RED BUD
Ken Roczen is not returning to the motocross series this week as he heads to the World Supercross British GP held in Birmingham. Ken is favored to win the WSX event and is coming off a lot of confidence after a great ride at High Point.
Grant Harlan will also step away from the motocross series this week and head to the WSX event. Grant came off of some of his best results in the first four rounds of the motocross championship and looks to keep that momentum moving forward into WSX.
Max Miller will be headed to the WSX series, as he posted on Instagram, ” Super excited to be racing Round 1 is July 1st in Birmingham, England! I will be missing a Redbud and Southwick of the Pro Motocross series, but I’ll be racing the rest of the Outdoors!”
Kyle Chisholm is also going to be Joining the WSX series and stepping away from motocross. We are excited to see how he does and look forward to his return to the motocross series.
RIDERS RETURNING FROM INJURY
Jason Anderson plans to return this weekend for the Red Bud National. We have seen Jason recently putting in the laps at Glen Helen and other tracks in Southern California. We are excited about his return as he seems strong and confident on the bike. This is following a neck fracture in the Nashville Supercross, it seems Jason has put in the proper steps to heal from his injury.
Seth Hammaker, who broke his arm before the start of the Supercross season, also plans to make his return at the Red Bud National. Unfortunately, due to injury, we have yet to see the full potential of the number 35. But we did see him testing and developing the past couple of weeks, and he is looking good to make a strong return to the series. Definitely not someone to count out.
Jett Reynolds got hurt at Thunder Valley and sat out at High Point. He will be returning for the Red Bud National.
Carson Mumford’s status for this weekend is still in question, although we have seen him practicing this week in Southern California, and we expect that means he’ll be racing.

JUSTIN BARCIA – COLLARBONE, SHOULDER, RIBS
It seemed like everything was coming together for Justin Barcia after winning the East Rutherford mudder. Unfortunately, the dragon’s back struck back as Justin went over the bars and slammed into the ground at Nashville. He broke his collarbone, shoulder blade, and two ribs.
GUILLEM FARRES – BROKEN ARM
Guillem suffered a gnarly broken arm at Thunder Valley at the start of the first 250 moto. He made this post via Instagram: “As some of you know last weekend I was involved in a big first turn pile up which resulted in a broken arm. I got surgery last Sunday in Colorado to get it all fixed, I want to thank everyone at @starracingyamaha for all their help and for making the surgery happen, the Cooper for always taking care of me, and every single person that’s messaged me these last couple days. I am already working on my comeback!”
