2018 WASHOUGAL NATIONAL | 250 OVERALL RESULTS

The start of the first 250 moto in Washougal.

The Washougal track dried up fast due to the heat. The track got dusty no matter how much the track crew watered the track. The first moto it was Joey Savatgy with the holeshot. His teammate Austin Forkner stalked him and past him, but ultimately Joey got back ahead of Austin for the win. The TLD/KTM rider of Jordan Smith never let the top two out of sight to finish third.

In the second moto, Shane McElrath ripped the holeshot and took off. He lead from start to finish without much pressure. Aaron Plessinger stayed calm and collective by going 4-3 for the overall. Joey Savagty who won the first moto, started way back in the second moto and worked up to 9th place for a third overall.

Shane McElrath rode brilliant in the second moto. He was untouchable.

Joey Savatgy won the first moto but had bad luck in moto two. He clawed his way up from the back of the pack to finish 9th. With his 1-9 score he still managed to finish third overall.

250 QUALIFYING OVERALL RESULT

Star Racing’s Justin Cooper put in the fastest lap time in Washougal.

The 9th round of the 2018 AMA Outdoor National series is held at the Washougal MX park in Washington state. The 250 points leader, Aaron Plessinger is 49 points ahead coming into this round. That is a point shy from being an entire race ahead of the competition. Alex Martin sits in second with Justin Cooper in third.

In 250 qualifying is was Justin Cooper who put in the fastest time with a 2:11.328. Joey Savagty was second and his Pro Circuit teammate, Austin Forkner was third. Aaron Plessinger was about a second off the pace.
