250 OVERALL RACE RESULTS | LORETTA LYNN 2 PRO MOTOCROSS NATIONAL
The 2020 Pro Motocross Championship is back at the Loretta Lynn National. After having difficulty with the hosting of the event at Washougal, MX Sports has decided to stay another week at The Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Due to weather complications, the riders were only allowed one qualifying session and it was the Star Yamaha Team as well as Jeremy Martin who took the top positions during qualifying. Dylan Ferrandis took the number one spot followed by Shane McElrath, Jeremy Martin, and then Justin Cooper. Dylan and Shane both ran close lap times in qualifying leaving Jeremy Martin 1 second down from Dylan. Here is how the 250 class performed in the tough track conditions at the second round of the 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.

Jeremy Martin grabs the overall win with 3-2 moto scores!
Shane McElrath grabbed the holeshot with Alex Martin and Jeremy Martin right behind him, but Shane made a mistake in the fourth corner and both Martin brothers passed him. Alex Martin led with McAdoo moving into 3rd on the second lap, Carson Mumford 4th and McElrath 5th after a mistake. Dylan Ferrandis was 17th on lap 1 and first moto winner Rj Hampshire was 27th. Mason Gonzales was 7th, Jett Lawrence 8th, Stilez Robertson 9th and Carson Mumford 10th with Ferrandis 11th and Hampshire 13th 20-minutes to go. Dylan Ferrandis worked his way up to 6th and Hampshire was 11th with 10-minutes to go. Alex Martin was still leading with his brother Jeremy in second. Meanwhile, multiple riders bikes were steaming as the coolant was overflowing. First, the Geico Honda bikes starts smoking and then Troy Lee KTM rider Brandon Hartranft’s bike quit on him. As Brandon was sitting in the middle of the track, Hampshire got stuck next to him and Brandon actually helped Rj get his bike unstuck from the mud. With3-minutes and 30-seconds to go, Shane McElrath passed Cameron McAdoo for third and Dylan Ferrandis caught up to McAdoo at the same time. Rj Hampshire made it to 8th place with just over 1-minute and two laps to go. Alex Martin went on to win the moto by over a minute while Jeremy Martin nurtured his bike to the finish line with Shane McElrath and Dylan Ferrrandis breathing down his neck at the checkers. Jeremy Martin would win the overall with 3-2 moto scores. Unfortunately for the first moto winner, Rj Hampshire’s bike failed him late in the race and he had to walk it back to the pits, he finished 18th.

250 FIRST MOTO RESULTS FROM LORETTA LYNN NATIONAL
Rj Hampshire wins the first moto in the mud!
Just before the motos began, rain fell hard on the Loretta Lynn facility and completely ruined the track which was shaping up to be a good one. Now, it’s a mud fest. Shane McElrath grabbed the holeshot, but Alex Martin quickly passed him to grab the lead. Shane led for the first lap, but at the beginning of lap two, Shane stalled his bike and Cameron McAdoo took over the lead. McAdoo stayed in the lead until RJ Hampshire passed him two laps later. Dylan Ferrandis was back in the back early, but he made his way up to fourth quickly and then passed Jeremy Martin to get into third. Next, Ferrandis would pass Cameron McAdoo and get into second place. Dylan decided to pull into the pit area for new goggles while Rj Hampshire kept charging without goggles. With three laps to go, Dylan Ferrandis caught up to Rj Hampshire and put the pressure on him, but Rj was able to hold him off and take the win.
