A COVID-19 FACE MASK ESPECIALLY FOR OLD SCHOOL MOTOCROSSERS (UPDATED)
What better face mask to wear than the famous Scott Face mask from the 1970s—especially to help Dave Miller of Miller Mano and DMC fame. Unfortunately, Dave passed away on Friday, May 22.
From Jody’s buddy Jimmy Mac:
Jimmy Mac said, “I’m going to be wearing a face mask in public, at least in the immediate future. While there is conflicting information on the effectiveness of masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, I decided to wear one as a courtesy to others. So, if I’m going to be wearing a mask, I might as well have a little fun.
“I contacted long-time friend and cartoonist extraordinaire, Curt Evans. We grew up around motocross so Curt totally understood the concept and offered to come up with the artwork and coordinate the mask’s production. What you see here is a Curt-Evans-designed face mask sewn in Ashland, Oregon, U.S.A.
“Curt and I made enough masks for our own use. If more riders want some, we could order another batch. The masks cost us $10 plus shipping so we’d consider selling them for $20 each as a way to raise money for Dave Miller. Every cent above our cost would go to Dave. In fact, even if you don’t want a mask, why not donate whatever you can to Dave anyway? Click Here to go to Dave Miller’s Go Fund Me page.”

SAD NEWS: Dave Miller bravely fought cancer for several months and was undergoing intensive chemo therapy, but regrettably, he lost his battle today, (May 22, 2020), just as Curt Evans and I were organizing a fund raising effort for him. We plan to keep raising the money for Dave’s family (or other worthy causes) if people want to order the masks described in the following article. God speed, Dave..
