KURT CASELLI WINS AGAIN: TAKES STAGE 11 OF THE DAKAR RALLY IN ARGENTINA

Kurt Caselli on his way to the Stage 11 victory.

KTM’s Kurt Caselli, drafted to ride the KTM 450 Rally bike of injured teammate Marc Coma, picked up his second stage win in his first-ever Dakar on Wednesday. Caselli, who also won Stage Seven, took advantage of Argentina’s Baja-like terrain on Wednesday to win the stage. Sadly, Kurt is out of the top 20 overall after picking up more than three hours of penalties for missing checkpoints and waypoints in Stage Eight.

On Thursday the riders leave Fiambala in Argentina to head back across the Andres and down into the notorious Atacama desert, the driest place in the world. The stage takes them to Copiapo in Chile and they will travel for 715 km.
