WHAT A SHOCKER! IS CHAD REED GOING TO THE EUROPEAN GP’S in 2012?

Yep, you read that right. Chad Reed has been offered a chance to return to the FIM World Championships in 2012? This rumor has been around for awhile, but it wasn’t until Chad confirmed it on his twitter page that it was reportable.

It is unlikely that Chad will take the deal, although at one time he did say that he would like to return to the GPs?which is where he got his start (outside of Australia).

Given that Chad is paying his own way (with works parts from Team Honda) at the 2011 AMA Nationals, it might seem tempting to take a paying gig in Europe. But, Chad is now an employer (with people who depend on him), he is enjoying himself (for the first time in a long time) and he will have to wait and see what kind of offers he gets, in terms of dollars, to keep his team afloat in the USA (which depends a lot on what Ryan Dungey does). Plus, riders don’t report contract offers on twitter unless they aren’t planning on taking them.

But, it is nice to know that you are wanted.
