CLARK STILES GETS A JOB…AT THE DUNLOP PROVING GROUNDS

Dunlop Motorcycle Tires has announced the hiring of Clark Stiles as a test rider at Dunlop’s Huntsville, Alabama Proving Grounds (HPG).

“With Clark Stiles, we’re taking our Supercross-motocross development program to a new level,” said Dunlop’s Motorcycle Division Vice President Mike Buckley. “Our goal is to become the dominant tire manufacturer in this arena and Clark’s addition to the Dunlop team will help us achieve that goal.”

Stiles, a 31-year old native of Athens, Alabama, has been a top privateer and support rider in the AMA Supercross and outdoor national programs for many years, competing on teams such as Team Moto XXX, Subway Honda, Maestro Suzuki and SoCal Yamaha.

“We’ve recognized Clark’s potential for some time now and we are very fortunate to have someone of his caliber on our team,” said Danny Roberts, senior test rider at HPG. “While highly skilled as a motocross rider, he is also a very smart and mature rider. He has the characteristics we were looking for and will be an asset to the Dunlop Motorcycle Tire development team.”

Stiles will be working under the Dunlop tent at a number of 2007 AMA Supercross and Motocross events, according to Roberts, and will be assisting Dunlop Off-Road Manager Broc Glover with the factory-supported riders of Honda Racing, SoBe No Fear/Samsung /Honda and Team Redbull KTM. Roberts added that Stiles’ role will eventually expand to include other product lines such as ATV and Supermoto.

“I’m really pleased with this opportunity,” said Stiles. “Dunlop is committed to excellence in everything they do and I am honored to become a part of that effort.”
