FIRST LOOK! THE NEW GENERATION 2025 KTM SX-E 5 ELECTRIC PEE-WEE

For 2025 the KTM SX-E 5 is equipped with a fully electric, water-cooled, permanent magnet motor that provides 30% more riding time compared to the previous version and peak power at 5.0kW. The unit is dust and waterproof while the integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees a direct but very controllable power delivery. It is a high quality and real-world Ready to Race alternative to the gasoline-powered 50cc two-stroke engine.

A multifunctional instrument panel shows the charge level of the battery, in addition to one of the six different ride maps that control how strong and fast drivetrain feeds through the throttle. It weighs 81 pounds and the retail price is $5,649.

The battery on the KTM SX-E 5 is constructed from 84 lithium-ion cells in a robust die-cast aluminum casing, harnessing energy for 907Wh: enough for two hours of a relaxed rhythm riding or 30 minutes of hardcore throttle abuse for race conditions.

One of the best features of the KTM SX-E 5 is the adjustable dimensions of the bike. The subframe is made of lightweight, fiberglass reinforced plastic elements, which can be mounted in different positions to suit the changing size of the junior rider. The variance height is from 24.9 inches to 26.8 inches.

The suspension consists of fully adjustable, upside-down, 35mm WP XACT air fork with a 35mm for legs and 205mm of travel . The air spring fitted in the left fork leg can be adjusted perfectly to the rider’s weight using a simple air pump.

The WP XACT shock absorber is also has adjustable preload, rebound damping and compression compression damping.

The bike has light, black anodized, aluminum rims (12” front and 10” rear) with Maxxis MX-ST tires for superb all-round traction. The brakes, front and rear, features hydraulic brake calipers and waved rotors from Brembo.
