• JOSH MOSIMAN’S AUSTRIAN 450 NATIONAL KTM 450SXF

This is the KTM 450SXF that the KTM test department built for Josh Mosiman to race at this weekend’s round of the Austrian National Championships at Mehrnbach. Josh, Dennis Stapleton, Josh Fout and Trevor Nelson are touring the KTM factory in Mattighofen, Austria, this week and are meeting all the engineers, mechanics and KTM test riders while they are there. They will  join many of the same KTM people at the race. It’s really cool to learn how many people who work at KTM also race on the weekends, whether they are pro or amateur.

Last week Josh Mosiman was in Italy testing GasGas models and this week he’s in Austria with Ryan Morais as guest riders at the Mehrnbach National.

According to a race press release: “Everything read” for the motocross weekend at the GUPL Asenham in Mehrnbach. Almost the entire red-white-red elite of motocross sport will flex their “muscles” in the Innviertel this weekend. In addition to the best national motocross riders and good racers from neighboring countries, two Americans, Josh Mosiman and Ryan Morais, are also at the start this year. Mosimann is a motocross journalist and test rider, Morais is KTM R&D test rider for the KTM Factory Racing Team. Both US motocrossers will start in the Championship on Sunday, which makes the horsepower spectacle in Mehrnbach even more exciting.”

• THE TOP TEN IN 250 & 450 POINTS

Jett Lawrence 2023 Washougal National-0224Jett Lawrence has a 95-point lead over Dylan Ferrandis in the 450 title chase heading to Unadilla. If Jett sweeps Unadilla, like he has every 450 race this season, he will have 450 points and the best that Ferrandis could earn is 44-points (if he went 2-2). That means that Jett would have a 101-point lead going into the final two rounds at Budds Creek and Crawfordsvile. And since there is only 100 points left to win in the final two rounds, Jett will most likely be crowned 450 Champion at Unadilla.
