“THIS WEEK IN MXA WITH JOSH MOSIMAN:” NEVER BET AGAINST ELI AT DAYTONA

Lawrence, Sexton, Plessinger, Webb, and Roczen have all won a Supercross in 2024. Two worthy riders are missing from that list—Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson. But, with the series headed to Daytona this weekend, you can’t count out Eli Tomac as the favorite. Eli has won Daytona six times and he is coming off of an incredible last-to-second charge at Arlington. Hopefully, that is a signal that he’s ready to go into “Beast Mode” for the next 10 rounds.

Additionally, MXA has been busy in South Carolina, testing Yamaha off-road model at the Big Buck GNCC and in Gainesville, Florida, for the 2024 Triumph TF250-X intro, while splitting our time between riding Beta trials bikes at Cahuilla Creek and dodging rain storms to shoot the all-new 2024 Beta 450RX four-stroke at Glen Helen. And on a sad note, MXA is still reeling from the death of test rider and friend Randel Fout, who crashed at a Grand Prix cross-country race last Sunday. We have been consoling the Fout family (in addition to all of the MXA family). We miss Randel, who leaves behind two grown sons, including Josh Fout, who is Josh Mosiman’s right-hand-man and AMA National mechanic, and 11-year-old Logan Fout (Jody’s wife set up a GoFundMe account for Logan’s emotional and financial future), which you can see by Clicking Here.
