TOMMY SEARLE UPDATE: OUT OF THE 45GP’S FOR AT LEAST SIX WEEKS

CLS Kawasaki rider Tommy Searle is back in England after having his arm plated in a Thai hospital on Monday morning following his crash in Thailand. Dutch rider Herjan Brakke will replace Searle at the Brazil Grand Prix next week. Brakke had only planned to race the European-based GPs. Tommy will be be out of action for six weeks. Searle described his crash this way, “The motor suddenly cut out when I was already committed to the triple jump. Many riders and teams had a problem with the fuel supplied in Thailand at the last minute by ETS after all fuel imports had been canceled by the Thailand authorities. My team need to check what happened.”

As for ETS, they sent out a press release saying that their fuel was approved for use and any engine problems, and there were many in Thailand, we related to bike setup—not the fuel.
