UNADILLA 250 ACTION: HAIDEN DEEGAN DOESN’T GELL WITH THE ‘DILLA

Rookie sensation Haiden Deegan came to upstate New York only 3 points behind points leader Hunter Lawrence in the AMA 250 National Motocross Championship points standings. With only three races left and Deegan on a high note after his 1-1 day at Washougal, the crowd expected a Haiden-versus-Hunter battle. Unfortunately for Haiden, this was his first time at Unadilla and he never came to terms with what was another rut-laced National track (and neither did his Star Yamaha, which  blew up in the first moto). Hunter won the overall with a 2-2, as Star Yamaha’s Levi Kitchen and Justin Cooper walked away with the moto wins. As for Haiden Deegan, he was score in 17th place and is now 36 points behind Hunter and in fourth place. Justin Cooper is now the closest rider to Lawrence, but 22 points adrift.
