Tom Vialle has become a winning machine. The French rider now leads Jago Geerts by 53 points.

Isak Gifting rode his GasGas MC250 to  6-8 day.

KTM’s Tom Vialle played it cool in the Lommel sand to take 2-2 overall win for his first ever victory there. Vialle’s two second place finishes only earned him one more point than second place Geerts 4-1, but with it pushed the Frenchman’s lead to 53 points, which is enough points to be one full race ahead of Geerts. Ben Watson won the first moto and Yamaha had high hopes for the Brit to get a GP win at Lommel, but his second moto fifth left him third, but on the podium. Watson is seventh in the 250 GP standings—only two points behind Roan Van Moosdijk for sixth. In a high note, GasGas fill-in rider Isak Gifting went 6-8 for eighth overall. Gifting missed the first eight GPs, but in the last five the Swede has moved into 15th in 250 GP points

Tom Vialle said, “It was really good the second moto. I enjoyed the track, and Jago was pushing and I followed his lines, and I tried to push at the end, but couldn’t get it. It is my first win in this sand, so I am really happy.”

Brit Ben Watson has been improving with each race this season. In the first moto he improved as far and you can. His 1-5 was good enough for a podium spot in third overall.

Tim Gajser has a 48-point lead on Tony Cairoli, who was ninth in Lommel. Gajser went  2-1 for the win.

Slovenian Tim Gajser celebrated his 26th Grand Prix victory at Lommel. He went 2-1 for the win but had a hard fight against Jorge Prado in the second moto before finally clearing him. Prado was second, but collided with Jeremy Seewer and went down, dropping two places. Seewer was then sexond, but made a mistake and got passed by Romain Febvre . The second moto ended with Gajser in front of Febvre, Seewer, Prado, Paulin, Cairoli, Bogers, Van Dioninck, Vlaanderen and Van Horebeek

Tim Gajser said, “I am so happy. We testing a lot in the sand and we see all the hard work in the winter has paid off. Riding in the sand in Lommel I was really enjoying it. First moto I has a good start, but made a stupid crash and Gautier got me for the win, and the second moto I passed Prado and made a comfortable lead and won.”

The 450 World Championship point standings are Gajser 488, Cairoli 440, with Prado and Seewer tied at 429 apiece.

Gautier Paulin took the first moto at Lommel—in the first of three GPs to be held at the Belgian sand track. His 1-5 was good enough to hold off Jorge Prado’s 3-4. Paulin and fellow Frenchman Romain Febvre have become contenders late in the season, but too late. They are 136 points and 105 points behind Gajser respectively.

Jorge Prado has to start winning because Gasjer is 59 points ahead of him with five races left.
